Co-founded PMG Middle East & Africa in 2000. Prior to that, he combined an academic career with consultancy and senior executive positions in the USA and Egypt for 25 years. BA in American Politics and Fine Arts, MA in International Relations, Diploma in United Nations and International Studies. M.Phil. in International Relations, Doctorate in Politics, all awarded by New York University (NYU). Advanced Diploma in International Marketing from BMW Marketing Academy in Munich. Member of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). and is a frequent guest lecturer on cross-cultural communication at Heidelberg University, Germany and New York University in the USA.
Dr. Captan possess broad and deep knowledge and experience in conducting business throughout the Middle East, China, Europe and the USA. Dr. Captan has a highly attuned situational awareness and political sense sharpened by an understanding of history and its business and societal impact. His diversified expertise includes global communication, consulting, branding, marketing and all operational aspects of building and running successful ventures.
Upon earning her Bachelor degree in Mass Communications from the American University in Cairo in 1992, Nagla joined the Marketing Department of the pharmaceutical giant Glaxo Wellcome. She subsequently joined BMW in 1997as Marketing Manager and Land Rover Brand Manager. She holds an International Advanced Advertising Diploma from the American University in Cairo, and Advanced International Public Relations Diploma from the BMW Marketing Academy in Munich. In 2000, she joined PMG Middle East & Africa as a Co-founder and Managing Director supervising the wide spectrum of activities in various sectors at the local and international levels.
As Managing Director of PMG Middle East & Africa, Ms. Nofal has supervised the implementation and project management of multiple communication assignments of all the Firm’s international, regional and local clients in a wide variety of sectors including Automotive in Egypt, Germany, UK, France, China and India, Maritime and Logistics in Egypt, Asia-pacific, Europe, UAE, and USA, International Organizations (EU), Consumer Products in MENA Region and Austria, Financial Institutions in Egypt and Regional Conglomerates in Lebanon and KSA.
Abdellatif El-Menawy is a world-renowned author and multimedia journalist, and currently the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Al Masri Al Youm. He is also a regular columnist for Al Masri Al Youm, Arab News and other regional and international newspapers. He also hosted three current affairs TV shows (Third Opinion, Special Edition and Point of View) and has been a juror in the International Emmy Awards since 2010.
El-Menawy has covered many significant events throughout his professional career in journalism. He reported from Bosnia during the war in 1994, and covered the coup d’etat from Sudan in 1989. He has also covered various conflicts and major events in Libya, Algeria, France, Hong Kong and Germany.
El-Menawy started his career as a journalist in 1982 for Egyptian magazines Al Ahram Al Eqtesadi and Al Mejalah, for which he became the Bureau Chief. In 1992 he moved to London to be the Managing Editor of Middle Eastern newspaper Al Sharq Al Awsat for eight years, followed by a promotion to Bureau Chief in Cairo. In 2005, El-Menawy became President of Egypt News Center, where he made massive improvements including a total modernization of the channels, re-launching Nile International Channel, which is Egypt’s English, French and Hebrew channel and establishing Egypt’s first Radio station that combined news and entertainment.
In April 2011, El-Menawy resigned from the post and wrote “Tahrir-The last 18 days of Mubarak”, which features his first-hand witness statement of the events on and around January 25 during the Egyptian Revolution from within the national television building “Maspiro”. After a short stint as CEO and GM of Al Ghad News Channel (2015-2017), he established it as a prominent news channel, and resigned to join Al Masri Al Youm.
El-Menawy has received many awards and honors including “Best Interview” in 1986 for the first interview with former Sudanese President Gafar Nomiri, “Best Print Interview” in 1989 for a number of interviews in “Almejalah” magazine, the “Committee Award” at the “Television and Radio Cairo Festival” in 1998 for the documentary “Egypt and Syria Union” and “The Committee Award for Best Television Interview” at the “Television and Radio Cairo Festival” in 2001 for the program “Third Opinion”.
He has also written a number of books, most recently “Copts, the Church or the Nation?”, which pivots around an interview with Coptic Pope Shenouda III to explore the Coptic political terrain in Egypt before and after the 1952 Revolution and into the end of the Sadat’s Presidency in 1981. His future projects include writing a book on the “Aljihad” group through interviews with its leaders inside and outside of prison. In 2014, he served as the Campaign Manager of President’s El-Sissi Presidential Campaign.
Award-winning writer Michael O’Brien Browne is a seasoned professional author and editor. He has served as a Contributing Writer at the Huffington Post and Contributing Editor at The Quarterly Journal of Military History. Browne has extensively published feature stories for The Business, The Christian Science Monitor and other major international publications. Browne has authored many books and multimedia products for Langenscheidt, one of Europe’s largest publishing houses. Moreover, Browne is a successful and experienced writer and editor for small, mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies, ranging from marketing to IT to pharmaceuticals, and encompassing presentations, brochures and voice-overs as well as professional blurbs and bios. Browne’s novel, My Back Pages, won a major literary award and his play, You Can’t Do That, was selected to be performed by the New English-American Theater in Germany. Browne has taught business and creative writing at elite universities in Europe and the USA. He has lived, worked and studied across the USA, Europe and the Middle East. Browne’s BA is from the University of California, Berkeley, his MA from New York University
Upon earning her Bachelor degree in Political Science from the American University in Cairo in 2005, Aya was appointed as a Research Analyst at the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC). In 2007, following a brief training tenure at the Munich office, she enrolled in the Graduate Program of New York University and earned her Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications in 2010.
His more than 20 years’ experience in strategic planning, product management and marketing for international corporations including BASF AG, Bayer Corporation and Daimler Chrysler has been across a number of sectors. He founded Premier Marketing Group GmbH in 1999, and in 2000 was appointed as PMG Middle East & Africa’s Chairman.
